A farmers market style event in Hopkins is seeking vendors, small business owners and home grown producers. The event will complement the State Line Auction at Hopkins Park with meet ups twice a month on Sundays, according to the Nodaway Newsleader. Those interested in participating should contact  Kary Owens and Ali Brittian on Facebook.

    The Nodaway County Commissioners distributed civic improvements funds from Tenaska to organizations throughout the area, according to the Maryville Forum. The Nodaway County Community Building received $3,000 while The Rose Theatre and Big Brothers Big Sisters each received $2,500.

  • Nodaway County holds elections

    A total of 1089 votes were cast in Nodaway County during Tuesday election, according to unofficial results from Nodaway County Clerk’s office. Tye Parsons was reelected to Maryville City Council with 87.31 percent of the vote. Parnell and Ravewood both approved a street maintenance levy. 

  • Missouri Western offering gaming camp

    Missouri Western State University’s Esports program is offering a summer camp for kids interested in gaming, according to News-Press Now. The camp will take place from  May 27th to May 30th and is open to kids 10 to 17. Registration can be found at missouriwestern.edu/esports/griffon-summer-camp/.
