The Nodaway County Commissioners distributed civic improvements funds from Tenaska to organizations throughout the area, according to the Maryville Forum. The Nodaway County Community Building received $3,000 while The Rose Theatre and Big Brothers Big Sisters each received $2,500.
A total of 1089 votes were cast in Nodaway County during Tuesday election, according to unofficial results from Nodaway County Clerk’s office. Tye Parsons was reelected to Maryville City Council with 87.31 percent of the vote. Parnell and Ravewood both approved a street maintenance levy.
